Yamamoto Sound Craft's current line of single-ended amplifiers are designed around directly-heated triodes for the ultimate in sonic purity. These amplifiers are exceptionally quiet (due in part to DC heating of the driver and output tubes), and their amazing speed, transparency, and tonal richness belie their "real world" pricing. Each includes a pair of NOS 717A "mushroom" driver tubes, and an NOS rectifier tube. Additionally, these amplifiers sport a number of features that make them an even more incredible value. To name a few:
  • Each amplifier is 100% hand-crafted with point-to-point wiring.
  • Custom Hi-B transformers are used for peak performance at the frequency extremes.
  • Premium parts are used throughout, including Dale resistors and Yamamoto's own highly-regarded Teflon tube sockets.
  • Auto-bias circuitry ensures hassle-free operation.
  • The chassis is sculpted from resin-infused Japanese cherry, a beautiful material that is akin to Bakelite in terms of its electrical insulation properties.
